Streamline Bookkeeping

This policy covers streamlinebookkeeping.com and fiduciarybooks.com, both operated by Streamline Bookkeeping (“we,” “us”). It describes what information we collect when you visit our sites or hear from us by email, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
When you visit our sites. Our sites use a visitor analytics service (Apollo.io) that records the pages you view, the time of your visit, your browser type, and your IP address. From the IP address and a cookie, the service may identify the company or firm you are visiting from. It does not identify you personally unless you have given us your email address.
When you contact us. If you fill in a form or email us, we keep what you send: usually your email address, and anything else you include. We may use a business data service to match your email address to your name, firm, and title so we can reply appropriately.
Business contact information. We may hold your name, firm, title, and work email address obtained from professional directories, bar association listings, public websites, or business data providers. We use this only to send professional correspondence to people whose work relates to ours, such as estate planning attorneys and professional fiduciaries.
How we use it
- To respond when you contact us.
- To understand which firms are interested in our services and what they read on our sites.
- To send occasional professional emails about trust and fiduciary bookkeeping. Every such email includes a way to unsubscribe, and we honor every request.
- To keep our sites working and secure.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Cookies
Our sites set a cookie for the analytics service described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The sites still work without them.
Who else sees it
We use service providers to run our sites and email: a web host, Google Workspace for email, and Apollo.io for analytics and email delivery. They process information on our behalf under their own privacy commitments and may not use it for other purposes. We do not disclose your information to anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep contact information for as long as we are corresponding with you or you may reasonably expect to hear from us. If you unsubscribe, we keep your email address only to make sure we do not email you again. Website visit records are kept for up to two years.
Your rights under California law
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- ask what personal information we hold about you and how we use it;
- ask us to correct it;
- ask us to delete it;
- opt out of any sale or sharing of your personal information (we do neither);
- not be treated differently for exercising these rights.
To make a request, email jeff@fiduciarybooks.com or write to the address below. We will confirm your request and respond within 45 days. We may ask you to verify your identity, for example by replying from the email address in question.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
